Anchor Pointer Compass GPS App Reviews

Nice app but the pointer is off 180 degrees. Ill be walking toward my car and the yards amount decreases but the pointer points in the opposite direction. Please fix!! It can throw you off

It told me and my friend that his car was 270 yards away when we were standing in front of it at a crowded movie theater with hundreds of other cars! Another time, it told me the same car was 40 yards away when I was sitting *in* it. Theres an admittedly nice UI, but please let tracking and GPS accuracy take first priority. Until this gets fixed, the app has lost significant functionality, which is fatal to the purpose.

Easy to use— just click on add anchor when you are at any location you frequent. Includes detailed map of location area and directions. Minimal data input required of user! Could use explanation of on-screen items. Definitely need to be able to alphabetized Anchor List.

This app accurately tells me how far away my car is & how to get there! Super helpful when stumbling around in the dark in Cedar Points massive parking lot!

I use this app every time my wife and I go hiking. I use the park car function in case we get lost and the anchor function to remember unique places. Super fast customer support.

The app loads up quickly and is so simple! You must have some intuition in your own in order to understand the commands...because they are very SIMPLE! After a quick demo (flashing arrows showing you where to click) on how to put a pointer (or pin) down and save it, you then see how far your phone is from that pin. You can then edit or delete it or go back and add new. Very basic GPS coordinating system with a genius GUI that mixes old GPS technology with new technology. Also, if you are heading somewhere and only want to know the "general heading" this can help you find that and save you from using your battery for GPS turn by turn. All in all...awesome! Especially for off-roaders, hikers, and the like!

This app seems like such a good idea. However, while looking for my park car late after a concert, the screen on the app went from looking for a parked for with the arrow pointing to the main menu with no park car saved. This app failed me at a terrible time in a strange city.

Works like I hoped it would, easy to use and does just what it should. I will say they need a "house" icon in the choices for anchors

I travel extensively, and while I have apps for trains, metros, busses, when I’m walking, I almost always rely on Anchor Pointer. You’ve discovered a great restaurant or shop, drop an anchor. Aren’t sure how to get back to the metro station, drop an anchor. I spent the summer in Florence, Italy. Anchor helped me find my way quickly along the twisting streets and alleys. Now in Paris, it’s doing the same thing. Two suggestions to improve it just a little more: 1. I would love a way to organize my Anchors. Currently, the default is last entered, first one to show up in the list. I tag my anchors and would like to organize them, e.g., Paris - great bakery in the 11th. Now I have to scroll down the list (which has gotten pretty long) to find this Paris entry. 2. Sometimes the app needs to recalibrate. No problem; it’s quick. It would be nice to “force” a recalibration sometimes, for example, when you’re coming out of a underground metro.

This is a 5 star app in my opinion (for iPhone) But I initially purchased this app because it was compatible with my watch. But when I try and set a location for my car it doesnt show up and neither does it when I try to set an anchor. I love the idea of this but until this is fixed Im gonna feel like I waisted my money.
